Think about it.  This last year has everyone wanting to connect more than ever. With people. To learn new skills. To invest in ourselves.  This alone provides a unique reason to up your social media game. But if you still need convincing, think about these benefits.

Reach a larger audience with Social Media

The ability to reach large audiences across multiple channels. With more people using social media channels your ability to expand your brand, have your message heard, and connect with more people is an opportunity you need to explore.  Think about it, yeah it will be some work to create the content to connect but what other marketing tactics can you do for free and with a potential ROI that is truly based on your effort.

Direct connection to your audience.

With all the social media channels you can build better relationships.  You don’t need someone’s email address to send them a quick note.  To check in on how they are doing. Provide true value on a topic they need help with, solving their problems and giving them the support they need and are craving.

But they also help you. By providing you valuable insight into their needs and problems. By tuning in and listening you can expand your customer base, expand your offerings and do it with confidence.

How great is that?

To have a ready-made test market, to vett your course and class ideas.

And, with that insight, you can rapidly adapt to your audience’s needs and any industry changes.

Social Listening

How? By listening and tuning into your audience. By listening and tuning into your industry you get a first-hand unfiltered view of the conversations of your audience.  Hearing what they like and dislike about anything and everything. It’s all out there for you if you pay attention and listen.

Creating Organic Traffic

Create organic traffic through your social channels. These are low-cost optin for creating leads as you get to post as much as you need to grow your audience.  It’s a great and effective option for those individuals at the top of your sales funnel (attraction) and building your brand recognition.

You can gain more traffic on your website by promoting your blog, podcast, and other items. This helps to grow your email list and helps to move individuals further along your sales funnel.

In addition, by using analytics you can really understand what content your audience is using, measure your success with your various sales funnels, and gain further insight into which campaigns are actually creating the greatest sales and improving your bottom line.

As you promote your content on social media- likes and social shares can drive significant traffic. Think about it!

The one that a lot of people have trouble and don’t use social media to its fullest is tracking your competition.  Yep, spying.  I don’t mean to copy their work. That’s just– tacky.  I mean to understand what products they are offering, what type of content they are using, and what ads/promotions they are running. This ensures that you stay abreast of any new trends and can quickly pivot if you need to.

And just think, if your competitors are not using social media. What a gigantic competitive advantage and who doesn’t want that!

Did I convince you?  Are you going to jump in?  Remember, you don’t have to be on all the social media channels to be super successful. But you do need to pick one where your audience is currently playing, show up, engage and listen. Have fun and don’t get caught in all the stuff. Just be you and your audience will find you.
